William Green
Managing Partner
Mr. Green founded TD International, LLC (TDI) in 1999 with the conviction that a discreet, strategic advisory and risk management firm can better respond to the needs of global investors and international corporate clients than large information industry companies. Prior to founding TDI, he served for two years as President of Parvus International, a business intelligence firm. Mr. Green managed the restructuring of the firm and developed a marketing strategy that resulted in a doubling of the firm's revenues and its ultimate acquisition by a larger entity.
Mr. Green serves as a strategic, crisis management and communications advisor to large corporate and non-governmental clients worldwide. He regularly addresses business and legal associations on subjects ranging from crisis and risk management to due diligence and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).
A former U.S. diplomat specializing in multilateral affairs within the United Nations, NATO and the European Union frameworks, Mr. Green served in Geneva and Paris and participated in the management of the Anglo-American and U.S.-Canadian intelligence relationships when posted to Washington.
Mr. Green received his M.A. in International Economics and European Affairs from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, DC and Bologna, Italy, and his B.A. in History from Holy Cross College. Mr. Green is fluent in French.
Ron Slimp
Managing Partner
A former U.S. diplomat and trade negotiator, Mr. Slimp focused on economic and trade negotiations with the EU and WTO. He conducted overseas economic and trade missions in Paris, Brussels and Geneva associated with the Uruguay Round of the GATT Negotiations and the establishment of the European Monetary Union. During the war in Bosnia, he managed multilateral nation-building efforts in Sarajevo. Following his government service, Mr. Slimp was a corporate executive in two Fortune 20 energy companies where he built and led commodity- oriented commercial and analytical enterprises in Houston and London.
Mr. Slimp received his M.B.A. from Rice University in Houston, Texas, and his B.S. in International Finance from Louisiana State University. He is fluent in French.
Frank Mermoud
Partner
Mr. Mermoud has served a 25-year career in the public and private sectors promoting and advancing commercial interests around the world. He was most recently the US Secretary of State's Special Representative for Commercial and Business Affairs. In this capacity, Mr. Mermoud served as a key advocate and liaison between executives and foreign leaders and facilitated more than $140 billion in commercial transactions. Mr. Mermoud has also held senior positions in the Department of Commerce and the US Information Agency.
In the private sector, Mr. Mermoud was a co-founder and Executive Vice President of SageMetrics Corporation, a leading international web analytics firm, and was Senior Vice President of Aegis Communications, a public telecommunications company serving Fortune 1000 clients.
Mr. Mermoud holds a BSFS degree in History and Diplomacy from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service. He is fluent in French.
Fred Enochs
Partner
A former Technical and Operations member with the Central Intelligence Agency, Mr. Enochs provided time-critical solutions in support of strategic government policy in over 60 countries. Following his government service, Mr. Enochs served as a commercial director for a Fortune 10 energy company and led risk management consulting groups providing solutions for the energy, maritime and chemical industries.
Mr. Enochs received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Akron.
Ross Newland
Partner
Mr. Newland was a member of the Senior Executive Service at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), serving in numerous important positions overseas and at the agency’s Headquarters in Langley, Virginia over a 27 year career.
Mr. Newland was the Chief of the Operational Technology Office at CIA, and before that was Deputy Director of the Office of Technical Services (OTS). During the first year after 9/11, Mr. Newland was the Deputy Associate Director for Central Intelligence (ADCI) for Military Support, coordinating the agency’s efforts with the military during the Afghan War.
Mr. Newland had six overseas tours as a Clandestine Operations Officer, three of them as Chief of Station.
Mr. Newland was awarded the CIA’s Distinguished Career Intelligence Medal, the Intelligence Medal of Merit, and the State Department’s Medal of Valor, in addition to various meritorious achievement awards and unit citations.
